Description:
Role Summary/Purpose:                                                           
The position is responsible for directing the work of employees to meet safety, quality, production and delivery metrics, as well as drive continuous improvement across key business objectives.                                    
                                                                                
Essential Responsibilities:                                                    
* Direct the activities of a team                                              
* Achieves highest safety levels in the plant                                  
* Develop, coordinate, lead and execute daily production plans                 
* Coordinate consistent and effective shift-to-shift transition                
* Achieve highest levels of internal and external customer service             
* Develop and implement process controls                                       
* Support cell leader in the strategic planning of manpower, equipment and other resources                                                                     
* Employ Six Sigma rigors to all functions within the cell(s)                  
* Mentor and motivate team in safety, quality and productivity improvements    
* Coordinate resources to achieve goals with a timely and cost-effective strategy      
                                                                               
Qualifications/Requirements:                                                   
* Bachelor's degree                                                             
* Minimum of 1 additional year experience in a manufacturing, supply chain, operations, or logistics environment                                         
                                                                               
Desired Characteristics                                                        
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, physics, mathematics or other technical field                                                              
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications                                 
* Previous supervisory / leadership experience in a manufacturing environment  
* Excellent communication skills, interpersonal, oral and written              
* Effective at managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines              
* High attention to detail and accuracy                                        
* Integrity - accept and adhere to high ethical, moral and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others
