H. Britt Landrum, Jr. is President and CEO of Landrum Human Resource Companies, Inc., parent company of Landrum Professional Employer Services, Inc., a professional employer organization he founded in 1983, and Landrum Staffing Services, which he founded in 1973. A third entity, Landrum Consulting, Inc., a human resources and organizational development consulting firm, was founded in 2006.
Headquartered in Pensacola, Florida, Landrum Human Resource Companies directly employs over 120 staff members. Landrum Professional co-employs and administers over 10,000 worksite employees in Florida and surrounding states. Landrum Staffing Services, which specializes in both permanent and temporary staffing, regularly provides jobs for over 1,000 people in northwest Florida. Since 2004, Landrum Human Resource Companies, Inc. has been listed in the top 100 of Florida's privately owned companies, and the company was honored in 2009 for being named as one of the top "50 Best Small and Medium-Size Companies to Work for in America" for the fifth year in a row. In June 2007, Landrum Professional Employer Services received the Florida Governor's Sterling Award for organizational excellence.
Mr. Landrum is a member of the board of directors of the Jacksonville Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He is also a director of the Florida Advisory Board of Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.
His community activities include chairman of Lakeview Center, Inc. and vice chairman of Baptist Health Care. He is past president of the University of West Florida Foundation, and in 2008, he was named a Foundation Fellow. He was recognized as "Business Leader of the Year" by the Pensacola Area Chamber of Commerce in 1998, and in 2005 was the recipient of the Ethics in Business Award presented jointly by the Combined Rotary Clubs of Pensacola and the University of West Florida College of Business.
Mr. Landrum received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Florida State University.
